A North West farmer has been shot dead in the house he has lived in since birth, Beeld reported on Thursday.A neighbour found Wessel Badenhorst, 55, on the kitchen floor of his Delareyville home with a bullet wound to the chest at around 7am on Wednesday.
His killers broke down a door to gain entry to the house, according to police. Farm workers alerted the neighbour when Badenhorst did not arrive for work.
Badenhorst's Isuzu bakkie was the only thing missing.
