This past week saw a mini-revolt in Afrikaner ranks when Abel Malan, a businessman from the Eastern Transvaal punched liberal philosophy professor Anton van Niekerk of the Afrikaans tertiary institution, Stellenbosch University, in the face.
Abel Malan is also a leader of the VVK (Volksraad Verkiesings Kommissie) or National-Council Electoral Commission, an organization peacefully campaigning for self-rule for the Afrikaner people of South Africa.
Mr. Malan is also a former soldier of the SADF and veteran of the South African Border War (1966-1989) .
What led to the miniature riot started with an opinion piece by the academic Anton van Niekerk in the Afrikaans newspaper “Beeld” on the 4th of July 2011, entitled Wittes hét baie skuld (Whites do have a lot of guilt).
The article started off with the professor acknowledging that a shift had taken place in the guilt feelings of Afrikaners and that they were awakening to the truth about their proud heritage and legacy.
It is true... Afrikaners are shedding the negative Marxist propaganda against them, studying their history and are newly embracing the facts about their intrepid forefathers. The revival in Afrikaner Nationalism and the desire to be independent is quite noticeable and undeniable at the moment.
There is also currently a musical on about the Border War called “Tree Aan!” (Fall In!), awakening the pride of our former soldiers who served in the SADF in their 23-year war against Marxist terrorist forces on the border between South West Africa (Namibia) and Angola.
Van Niekerk’s sarcastic rant was nothing but an intense provocation directed against Afrikaners. Professor Van Niekerk not only downplayed the role of the SADF in establishing a relatively democratic South Africa instead of a full-blown communist one, but glorified the communists and vilified the SADF soldiers.
The demented liberal Van Niekerk inseminated and poisoned his own mind with his pseudo-historical reality and tried to sell his onanism about Marxist terrorists as “freedom of speech”.
He held Afrikaners solely and collectively responsible and guilty of the so called “Crime of Apartheid”, despite not a single person to date ever having been found guilty of this so-called crime.
His lunatic rhetoric took the course of established liberal junk allegations such as that a small minority of Afrikaners were unable “to pick themselves up by their bootstraps” and are only successful through the oppression of blacks in South Africa.
The professor gave not a single example of his hallucinating allegations and ignored all evidence pointing to the contrary. The evidence of infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, universities, etc that benevolent Afrikaners built for blacks not only in South Africa, but also in Namibia is there for all to see.
The schooling given by whites to black Ovambo and Herero children, the hospitals and clinics that saved thousands of black lives on the border were all run by SADF military officers and personnel.
This is the people that Van Niekerk so despised in his article… His ignorance about Apartheid South Africa and the soldiers of the Border War speaks volumes.
Abel Malan is a former lieutenant and paratrooper who served on the border and who knows the truth as to what the SADF did there. The legacy of the SADF doctors, medical personnel, etc is well documented in many books available today, yet the enlightened professor has either never read any of these books or simply chosen to ignore the evidence. He is therefore either genuinely ignorant or maliciously and deliberately spreading disinformation, lies and hate speech against Afrikaners and former SADF soldiers, with his haughty and boring harangue.
Nevertheless, after this article, Professor Van Niekerk was contacted by Abel Malan to discuss the contents of his article at his office at Stellenbosch University. It seems as if the professor for some or other reason anticipated violence from Abel Malan, a respected and educated family man who holds a B.Sc. degree in agricultural economics.
The professor organized a guard from the campus security to stand by whilst the article was being discussed. What exactly was said during the discussion has been unclear until now, but it seems as if Abel Malan was provoked by the professor, overturned his desk and punched him.
One cannot help but feel that Malan was lured into a trap to make the VVK look like a bunch of aggressive ruffians. In typical cowardly liberal fashion, the professor’s mouth was only big when he knew he had back-up in the form of the security guard. Obviously too scared to face the man himself.
Malan was arrested and is currently being held in the Stellenbosch police cells awaiting his bail hearing. He is also on a hunger strike.
Soon afterwards, the anticipated smear campaign against Malan started in the media as it would for every Afrikaner Nationalist who dares to stand up for his people.
An article in Beeld tried to paint the burly former soldier as being "scared in the police cells" and not so tough after all. Comments are being manipulated on the online forums to censor expressions of support for Malan and promote views condemning him.
Various prominent liberals, most notably the hypocritical Marxist Afrikaans poet Breyten Breytenbach, who served a term in prison for high treason, as well as his sidekick traitor, academic Prof Willie Esterhuyse (also of Stellenbosch) who was instrumental in secret negotiations and whisky drinking between the National Intelligence Services and the ANC to hand the country over to Marxist terrorist scum, climbed on the bandwagon, condemning the violent behavior of Malan.
Other liberals on forums echoed their condemnation of Malan with clichés such as, “Violence does not solve anything… etc”
What makes their condemnation so much more hypocritical is that when the ANC terrorists used violence and terror against civilians to oppose the Apartheid regime, they never condemned them or said, “Violence does not solve anything”.
When the cowardly ANC terrorists used bombs to blow up innocent Afrikaners in pubs and shopping centers and laid landmines on farm roads to blow up farmers and their families, these liberals called them "honourable freedom fighters".
When the ANC youth leader, Julias Malema called for the killing of white Afrikaners and farmers or confiscating their farms with no compensation, the voices of these haughty liberals were silent.
When white Afrikaners are today get violently assaulted, tortured for hours, raped and killed on their farms and in their homes by blacks, then one hardly hears a peep out of these liberals. The politically correct Afrikaans newspapers such as Beeld, Die Burger and Rapport are never honest about the races of the victims and/or perpetrators. Yet last Sunday when stickers were placed in protest on street names in Pretoria, the so-called criminals who "maliciously damaged public property" and were therefore arrested and held in police cells were described as "six white men".
And let one Afrikaner punch a liberal in the mouth for his disgusting hate speech then the condemnation is non-stop in the news for days.
The vilification of Afrikaners by liberals such as Van Niekerk, and by the liberal media cannot be underestimated. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech. It is blatant hate speech.
It polarizes whites and blacks and it leads to more violent attacks on white South Africans. If talking does not help anymore and if a violent punch in the mouth is what it is going to take to stop the attacks on white Afrikaners then I say Abel Malan was fully within his rights to punch the living daylights out of Van Niekerk.
Violence cannot always be condoned, just as it cannot always be disregarded as a solution to a problem. Sometimes violence is fully justified and necessary such as when one is under brutal attack.
Against a violent murdering or raping enemy, no amount of sweet talk is going to get him to stop or change his mind…no…only violence will stop the brutality. The irresponsible verbal vomit of liberals such as that of Van Niekerk fans the brutality against white South Africans.
When you ask any policeman out there, he will tell you that defense is good. That walls, burglar bars, alarm systems, etc are all fine, but as purely defensive measures they are limited in their effectiveness.
He will further tell you that the only way to really stop the violent attacks is to somewhere along the line go on the offensive. You have to get out on the street and stop the bastards in their tracks.
It is clear that Abel Malan and many Afrikaners have now reached the stage where talking does not seem to stop the attacks at all. One can only have so much personal security. Walls cannot get any higher. Burglar bars cannot get any thicker and alarm systems cannot get any louder.
I know there will be those peace-mongers out there who will differ from me, but personally I believe that if nobody wants to listen to the Afrikaner’s voice and his peaceful knocking at the door then, it has become time to kick the damn door down. Any action to stop the attacks on defenseless Afrikaner men, women, children and senior citizens should be supported and encouraged. Self-defense is the right of every individual. It is fully justified and nothing to be ashamed of.
It appears as if the powers that be are getting nervous at organized attempts by respectable and educated Nationalist Afrikaners at secession and self-determination. These Afrikaner men are not stupid. They know exactly what their rights are as provided for in The United Nations declaration on the rights of indigenous people and as provided for in Section 235 of the South African. Unlike many other constitutions elsewhere, our constitution provides for the right to self-determination.
Vilification and labelling them as “fascist” and “fundamentalist” - as opposed to the innocent “philosopher” type like Prof Van Niekerk - have already started in Rapport of 17 July 2011. The “poet”, “academic” and “philosopher”, respectively Breytenbach, Estrehuyse and Van Niekerk, were quoted at length without any contrary opinion from Malan's point of view.
The media is trying to picture the VVK as “supremacists” as opposed to “separatists”. I doubt it if these gutter-gossip reporters who call themselves “journalists” even understand the difference.
The modus operandi is clear. Abel Malan should be imprisoned for as long as possible and be made an example in a lengthy media show trial, so as to frighten off anybody else wanting to stand up for Afrikaner Nationalism and self-determination. He should be character-assassinated and buried by the media.
Hey, it worked against other right-wing organisations like the Ossewabrandwag, the KP, HNP and the AWB. Why change tactics now?
The goal is to alienate people from the VVK and drive the Afrikaners further in the liberal direction, away from secession and self-determination.
However, I believe that this time it is not going to work so well. Nothing can suppress Afrikaner Nationalism. It is spontaneous and natural. The more one attempts to suppress it the stronger it will become. It is like trying to hold down a lid on a boiling pot.
While we are preparing ourselves for a lengthy show-trial by the South African liberal media, my hope is that Afrikaners will support Abel Malan and ostracize the likes of Van Niekerk and Breytenbach from their ranks.
