The extent of the corruption, mismanagement and theft by the ANC is simply mindboggling. It is shrouded under a fog of war, deception and utter chaos. Each case that surfaces is simply a drop in the ocean. It is only when one examines each drop and attempts to coalesce them that one realizes the true extent of the theft.
Let us just take one for instance, take the Land Bank Saga, and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
The Land Bank was created in 1912 to help rebuild the farms of the Boers that were destroyed during the Anglo-Boer War through the scorched earth policies of the British.
Not a problem when you lend money to hard-working experienced white farmers. In almost no time the agricultural sector of South Africa was rebuilt and South Africa was exporting top-quality products all over the world.
Then came the Big Betrayal in 1994 and now the question came up, “What about the poor black farmers of South Africa?”
At the time South African white and black farmers sorted their problems out, whites for the most part were treating their workers very well and even gave them their own sections of land where they could grow and graze what they wanted.
“Not enough,” said the ANC. They wanted more. They wanted the Land Bank to assist and help the Black farmers. In theory at least, but always with a hidden agenda as we shall see.
They then brought in Dr Helena Dolny, the widow of their “struggle” hero and arch-Communist, Yossel (Joe) Slovo. Strangely enough, she was doing a pretty good job. She was naïve and simply did not understand the ANC agenda. The ANC does not want people who are competent who does a good job, they want people who know how to steal well.
There were far too many competent whites involved in the Land Bank and blacks cannot steal when too many eyes are watching them, so they started with a putsch. First up was the white minister of Agriculture Derek Hanekom. A black woman Thoko Didiza was his replacement.
Next up was Helena Dolny. The ANC could not be seen getting rid of the wife of a struggle hero and on top of it an exemplary worker, so they contracted the job out.
They needed an excuse to get rid of her so they waited until they could have some dirt on her. This came the day that she awarded herself a small raise in salary, which she earned, but now the ANC would pull it totally out of context accusing her of stealing money from the poor, etc… all indirect accusations in the press of course…
What they did was to not invite her to president Mbeki’s inauguration or to Mandela’s farewell banquet. They then waited for her to go away on holiday and while she was away, the Land Bank Chairman, Bonile Jack, wrote a letter about her to president Mbeki. Thabo Mbeki leaked the letter to his journalist friend, Mtata Tsedu, who used to ride around in Mbeki’s limousine during the 1999 election campaign.
The letter accused Dolny of racism, nepotism, corruption and mismanagement… All her friends at the bank were also fired. Dolny later wrote a book and called what had happened to her at the Land Bank, “Ethnic Cleansing”… effectively what the ANC has done to most companies through Affirmative Action and Black Economic Empowerment. They got rid of competent whites so that they could steal unhindered and to their heart’s content.
With all the whites gone, the Land Bank disaster, appalling mismanagement and scandal after scandal followed. They would lend billions to ANC front companies like Pamodzi Investment Holdings in which ANC General Secretary Kgalema Motlanthe and ANC premier of the Northern Cape, Manne Dipico held shares.
These companies would then pocket the money, declare themselves bankrupt and default on their loans to the Land Bank. Almost like what is happening in Greece, Portugal, etc. at the moment and the EU bailing them out… just in our case, the taxpayers of South Africa would have to carry the can for the bailout.
By 2006 the Bank’s Capital fell from R3.1 billion to R1.1 Billion. The government didn’t see this as a major problem and bolstered the Bank with R1.5 billion of taxpayer money. In 2007 a slight outcry started coming from the public and the ANC suspended three Land Bank executives and pumped in an additional R700 million of taxpayer money.
To bring a bit of order at the pig trough, give the pigs a breather before the next feeding frenzy and to calm the tax cows down, they brought in a retired White Afrikaner called Nallie Bosman. Five months later in July 2007, Bosman resigned along with CEO Alan Mukoki after receiving death threats and one whistleblower surviving an assassination attempt.
The Bank was a basket case. They siphoned off billions of Rands on projects unrelated to the Bank’s purpose.
They built an upmarket equestrian estate on the Kwa-Zulu Natal north coast and a luxury Golf course in Midrand… all with money supposedly meant to uplift black farmers. Almost all of the beneficiaries of these loans were ANC members or cronies such as Paul Baloyi.
A R770 million loan was made to sugar tycoon Patrick Sokhela to purchase a sugar mill and upgrade his AmaZulu Football Club to professional status.
In 2008 the extent of the fraud at the Land Bank forced the then Minister of Agriculture and Land Affairs Lulu Xingwana to persuade the cabinet to agree to the firing of the entire Land Bank board, and for criminal charges to be brought against virtually the entire top management implicated in the investigation.
Then Joyce Mohlahlane, wife of acting Land Bank CEO Dr Phil Mohlahlane, sued Xingwana for R100 000 for being involved in an adulterous affair with her husband.
Mohlahlane was fired after a PricewaterhouseCoopers forensic report uncovered gross irregularities in the management of the Agri-BEE Fund under his control.
Then over last Christmas (2010) another gang of high level insiders with passwords to accounts tried to pull a scam to steal R150 million on Christmas Eve, electronically siphoning off money from the Land Bank’s ABSA account to 30 fictitious front companies. Fortunately ABSA staff recognized what was going on and put a stop to it. The story can be read here .
Â
Another trick was/is the stealing of land by the government. Contrary to common belief due to ANC propaganda, most of the land in SA does not belong to white farmers. It belongs to the government. The government could have allocated land to so-called “landless blacks” and solve the land issue long ago. There is absolutely no reason for the government to buy up productive commercial farms, cut it up into small sections and redistribute it to blacks who then go on and ruin the farms in a few months.
Â
Once the government sets their eyes on a farm, the farmer has almost no choice but to sell. If he refuses, the government can dispossess him of his farm with no compensation whatsoever. So the only thing he can do is to try and get as high a price for his land as possible on a “willing buyer willing seller” basis.
Â
The ANC does not like this. They want the land as cheaply as possible, so they apply several tactics. First they have their goons like Malema who publicly urges blacks on to take land from whites by force, because “Whites stole the land” in the first place. No proof of this theft is ever given, because it is all nonsense. Blacks then go and squat on white farms in their thousands. And crime escalates.
Â
The white farmers can’t drive them off, because the laws are such that it favors the squatters not the farm owner and besides, the police bungle the cases.
Â
Next thing is the blacks are sent in to assault rape and kill white farmers so that the farmers become more “willing to sell”. Then when these criminals are caught, the police bungle the cases again or lose the dockets. The criminals are set free to go and repeat their acts…As the years go by, the white farmers are actually becoming more and more willing to sell and accepting cheaper and cheaper prices.
Â
They also used the minister of Agriculture (Lulu Xingwana) to make stupid statements in the media and take out radio advertisements on the Afrikaans radio station just before Christmas asking white farmers in an almost desperate, crying voice not to evict their black workers as if it is common place, which is again simply nonsense. White farmers treat their black workers very well.
Â
Other laws are also set such as the minimum wage law. The lives of farmers are made so difficult that they just give up in the end.
Â
The ANC also do not want to be seen as the ones driving farmers off their land so they contract a front company with a patsy driving it. One such a person is Roux Shabangu.. A 36 year old Jehovah’s Witness, former amateur boxer turned multi billionaire who claims that he made his fortune selling maize meal
His weekend retreat is a 28-bedroom house in Mpumalanga, worth about R20 million. The house, on a 1200ha farm, boasts an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a lapa that can accommodate 100 people and garages for 12 vehicles. He also owns ten shopping malls and are building some more.
But as he explains in his own words, he was mandated by the ANC government to buy up fast amounts of land. Their reason being that if the farmers know that the government eyes their property then they push the prices up. The the former department of land affairs, now the department of rural development and land reform denies using him as a third party to buy land, despite his own admittance and the media having proof of it.
Â
The media also linked him to friendship with high ranking ANC members such as Police Chief Bheki Cele, President Jacob Zuma, cooperative governance minister, Sicelo Shiceka, and the Gauteng legislature speaker, Lindiwe Maseko.
Â
He is currently under investigation by the special police unit “The Hawks”
Roux Shabangu hit the jackpot when he scored a deal to rent out high rise buildings to the Police in Johannesburg and Durban for R500 million and R1.1bn respectively. He denied signing a contract with police Commissioner Bheki Cele and said, "I will pay a million rand to anyone if they can prove that I signed a lease with Bheki Cele."
The police could have built a building for far less themselves. Several in fact.
Nevertheless, it seems as if Roux Shabangu will now have to pay that money out, because Public Protector Thuli Madonsela found that an agreement signed between Shabangu’s Roux Property Fund (RPF) and the department of public works for the South African Police Service (SAPS) to lease the Sanlam Middestad building was invalid. She also found that Cele and Public Works Minister Gwen Mahlangu-Nkabinde were in breach of duty for authorizing the deal.
Last week, shortly after Madonsela's report was released, two police counterintelligence officers mysteriously visited the public protector's Pretoria headquarters demanding to know who had leaked certain documents to the Sunday Times. The Mail &Guardian also has a copy of this document Source
Â
Now it has surfaced that after Thuli Madonsela started turning the screws on Bheki Celi and Roux Shabangu, they want to arrest her for “fraud” and “Corruption”…
Companies owned by her allegedly did work for, and were paid R1.8m by the SALRC while she was a full-time commissioner there, three years ago, according to "independent sources". Source . This obviously blatant intimidation.
Â
See…this is what is happening with the ANC thieving government. They are all on the take. The one is more thieving and corrupt than the other. When one digs up dirt on the others, they dig up more dirt in return on him… A dog eat dog world.
Â
As soon as the spotlight goes on the cockroaches scatter. Those left in the light start playing musical chairs with each other, and I can bet you the top roaches will always make sure there is a Thuli Madonsela or a Roux Shabangu left without a chair.
Â
But now the plot thickens
So in order to direct the spotlight away from them, the Top roaches went through their donut-filled drawers and found some old reports of apparent Apartheid era plunder involving even the NG Church and the big bad bogeyman, the Afrikaner Broederbond as well as their ABSA bank…the bank who caught out and stopped the stealing of R150 million of funds from the Land Bank.
Â
Why were they saving the report for a rainy day? Why did they not act on the report twelve years ago? I find it hard to suppress my laughter at the amateurish and childish fingering and blackening going on.
Â
Apparently they name big businessmen by their name…Now that will be interesting to know. I want to see these Big Capitalists Roaches take on the Big Communists Roaches in a cockfight to the death.
Â
To me it is clea that the battle lines are being drawn. The ANC has been getting a little bit too big for their boots lately, trying to elbow the Capitalist Roaches away from the feeding trough, talking about “nationalization of the mines” and “grabbing land without compensation”… I mean how stupid can they be?
Â
I warned them in my last episode of Pandora’s Box that the same people who put the ANC in power can also remove them again at the drop of a hat.
Â
I won’t take it too seriously. All posturing at the moment between two sets of nervous roaches. At the end of the day they will probably make another deal as they did in 1994 at our Big Betrayal.
